Hyundai Core Motion, a subsidiary of Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE), has established a new parts distribution center in Miami, Florida, US, in an effort to enhance its services related to construction equipment parts.
Hyundai Core Motion announced on January 18 the opening of its "Miami Parts Distribution Center" in October last year, which will supply some 14,000 different types of after-sales service parts for excavators and wheel loaders to 27 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.

The opening of this distribution center is expected to significantly reduce the company’s delivery period for construction equipment parts, from six weeks to two weeks on average for regular orders and from four days to two days on average for emergency orders.

In addition to this newly built one, Hyundai Core Motion has been operating parts distribution centers in Eumseong, Korea, and in Dubai, UAE. It also plans to further increase its supply of parts by utilizing overseas supply chains in locations such as the US, Belgium, Brazil, China, and India.

“In purchasing construction equipment, such as excavators and wheel loaders, seamless supply and service of after-sales service parts serve as one of the most important selection criteria for customers,” said an official of Hyundai Core Motion, who expected "the establishment of this new distribution center will help further boost not only Hyundai Core Motion's sale of genuine parts but also HCE's sale of construction equipment."

Split off from HCE in April last year, Hyundai Core Motion is the parts making subsidiary of HCE with annual sales of KRW 400 billion. It produces key parts for heavy equipment, such as main control valves for excavators, pumps, motors, cylinders, forklift transmissions, and drive axles.
